Do not forget to check for the jack also and will you have access to it should you get a puncture. Having an emergency triangle in your car could help you be safer should you breakdown in a dangerous or fast moving road. And if you have a rac breakdown recovery policy it can also help the patrol man to find you a bit easier. In some European countries, this is a legal requirement.
