The RAC was born form the Royal Automobile Club in the very early 1900's, originally to control speeding. It then developed into a national motoring club offer ing breakdown cover to its members and is now owned by a large insurance company, still delivering RAC breakdown cover.
RAC offers different levels of breakdown cover from their roadside cover right up to more complex policies that can offer you cash, hotel accomodation should it be you breakdown and cannot get home.
