Most companies offer three types of insurance cover Comprehensive, Third party fire and theft and third party make sure you choose the one that suits your needs best. However cars valued at over £5000 normally can only be insured on a comprehensive policy.
Any penalty points you have previously accumulated must be declared to your new insurance company. If you buy a new car insurance policy and do not declare these points, you may risk not being insured should you need to amke a claim.
