When you are issued with replacement cards always cut up your old cards into lots of small pieces. Or better still, use a shredder.
If you believe you have lost your credit cards or had them stolen call your credit card company immediately using their emergency number.
If you've built up a debt on your card it may be worth switching to a card offering a low rate or zero rate, on balance transfers. There are loads of offers out there, read the small print for transfer fees though.
If you receive a phone call from supposedly from someone from your bank or credit card company asking you to confirm your details don't give them the
information. Instead ask them to write to you.
