Transfer Cooperative Bank Credit Card

When you receive new or replacement transfer cooperative bank credit card always make sure you sign them straight away and if the old one is out of date, you cut up or idealy shread it, so the number cannot be read.

Any correspondence from your credit card company including statements should be shredded before being disposed of, to prevent others using this information.

Before transferring a balance from one lender to another, check to see if you will incur any fees for doing so. It may be interest free but some credit cards apply a one off charge for doing so.

Be aware that if you only pay the minimum balance each month it could take you 25 years to pay off a £2000 debt.

If you have difficulty making your payments contact your credit card company immediately. They may come to some agreement with you on a suitable solution.
