If you own a "classic motorbike" you may be able to get cheap insurance if you only do limited mileage each year and normally a second vehicle to prove you own it for pleasure only. Sometimes if you have another vehicle insured through the same company, you may get an extra discount for the motorbike.
If you've had an accident don't get any repair work done until you have cleared it with your insurance company first. They may want to send out an inspector to assess any damage and value the replacement or repairs.
If you are unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident contact your insurance company as soon as possible, even if you are intending not to make a claim on your motorcycle insurance.
Did you know that with third party insurance any damage to your own motorbike is not covered. It may not be possible to buy third party insurance for expensive machines.
