Helping Families Go Green

In the June 20th, 2007 edition of the Daily Mail, Nicholas Cecil wrote an interesting article that shows one more way how families can go green. To help them do this, they can use a new eco-calculator, which is going live on-line.

This calculator will allow them to input the amount of emissions they are putting into the environment by inputting details of their home energy and transport use. Visitors will enter information about their home and then they will be asked a series of questions in the following areas:

The first section deals with appliances. Here they will be asked if they hang their clothes out to dry or using a dryer, if they leave appliances on stand-by, how much they fill the kettle up, and size and type of TV. (more…)
